On The Market

Posted by Suzi | July 17, 2012

Sorry for the radio silence this week, I’ve been so busy travelling around again- although this means I have lots of good pics and posts to come!

Visiting my dad in the South of France, we did what any right-minded foodies would do and went straight to the market! I love French food! The way it oozes with fresh yumminess.

Everything is just so simple but perfectly presented. It kills me that so many convenience shops create a soulless experience with mountains of plastic and bad lighting.

I also believe that every food store worth its salt should offer tasters. I’m a sucker for them and worked my way throughout the market- sampling truffled burrata (heaven in the form of cheese), ripe avacados and beautiful tapenades.

We then went back and poured all the ingredients into a big salad. Washed down with gallons of rose, of course. If only food shopping could always be so…

  3. “How can anyone govern a nation that has 246 types of cheese?” What about sanctioning the chutney?
