Floor Candy

Ever wish you could plaster your designer wallpaper on the floor? Now you can! Harlequin (one of the UK’s most coveted fabric and wallpaper companies, renowned for its rather chichi use of colour and pattern) has just launched a dazzling new rug collection. All beautifully hand-tufted or woven- there are definitely no plain old little walk-overs.

What started with a ‘feature wall’ obsession in the UK a few years ago has led to a full on love affair with pattern and colour; whole rooms being decked out in paper and eye-catching fabrics. As a result the company has been going from strength-to-strength. To quote¬†Chief executive John Sach’s rather smug (but totally sure-enough) comment; “Minimalism is kind of dead.”

  1. I am in full agreement! I love pops of colour. Minimalism = boring and dated!
