5 Ways to start loving yourself (yes really!)

Posted by Suzi | November 5, 2012

I don’t know about you but I used to think loving yourself was a really embarrassing thing to do. It was reserved for men in gyms, who flirted with their own muscles in the mirror while pumping weights. Or that boss at work who talked and talked and never listened.

Yet nearly all the most gifted minds on the planet- from Buddha to Rumi to Aristotle or Shakespeare-  have preached that the fastest way to being happy and wonderful at whatever you’re doing is to first love yourself.

It sounds strange, doesn’t it? Yet when you think about it, nothing in life is truly constant except the relationship you have with yourself. You’ll be there when you’re singing (embarrassingly badly) in the shower, going crazy stuck in traffic, on the best and the worst days of your life.

It’s probably the last relationship you’d ever think about- certainly the least you’d give any time to- but ironically it’s the one that can make or break your life.

Here’s how to do it a little bit better:
