5 Ways to Re-Think The Way You Live

Posted by Suzi | January 15, 2013

Amanda Talbot is a bit of a unique; after a glamorous career as Associate Editor of Elle Decoration (UK) magazine she left after the financial crisis, frustrated that design magazines were no longer speaking to her.

A professional interior snoop, she began to scour the globe, looking at the new ways people are improving their quality of life and digging deep into what it is (with all our modern conveniences, differing routines and fancy technology these days) that we actually need from our homes now.

This is how her new, beautiful, book Rethink: The Way You Live was born. Posing questions like: “Is it really  possible to create a living farm in your kitchen to feed your family on fresh products?” or “If I only use a lap top do I need a home office?”,  it’s an ode to the way we are always expanding and improving our home environments to be happy.

With this in mind, I asked her to share the 5 things that made her re-think the most. Enjoy!! And I’d love to hear what you think of the new interview format.

  1. All so very true, we have to start thinking completely differently in this over populated and competitive world and she’s right on track. Unconventionality is the new “in”.
